A NEW TOWN
Cambourne has evolved since 1999 from a greenfield site to thriving community offering a wide range of activities for every age group.
Over 4000 new homes are planned to be split into three areas: Great Cambourne, Lower Cambourne and Upper Cambourne each set around a traditional village green. Cambourne will become home to some 10,000 people.
FACILITIES
In Cambourne, they are currently two floodlit macadam courts at the MUGA, just beyond Morrisons on Back Lane in Great Cambourne, which is managed by CLTC and a further unlit court on Monkfield Lane, Great Cambourne, which is managed by Cambourne Parish Council. Over the course of the next couple of years a sports centre will be built near the MUGA and three further tennis courts are in the planning.
Cambourne Tennis Club has been in existence since 2001 and now boasts over 100 members. We are affiliated to the LTA and as such have the benefit of being covered under the LTA insurance, have access to competitions run by the LTA and have the opportunity to purchase Wimbledon tickets. Please see the Competition and Club Tennis sections of the website for more information on our Fun Days and Mini League Tournaments.
