What is tennis elbow?

Tennis elbow is a type of repetitive strain injury that is caused by repetitive use of the muscles and tendons of the forearm. It is typically a result of overuse of the elbow joint, and can affect anyone who engages in activities that require repetitive arm, wrist, and hand movements. The pain is typically located on the outside of the elbow, and is caused by inflammation of the tendons. Treatment of tennis elbow typically includes rest, icing, and the use of pain relievers, as well as physical therapy, corticosteroid injections, and sometimes surgery.
